Job Description:
We are supporting ITALFARMACO, an Italian multinational company, in the search of a: BUSINESS & PORTFOLIO DEVELOPMENT LICENSING MANAGER
Key responsibilities of the role:
·Leading on the research, identification, evaluation, deal structuring, and negotiation of in-licensing, product acquisitions, M&A opportunities, executing on contracts and transactions, all in support of ITF portfolio growth strategy and objectives.
·Closing profitable deals on a global/multi-country level.
·Delivering results: driving higher revenues by proactively identifying and pursuing new project opportunities for the ITF portfolio.
·Developing the business case and overall assessment of external products, including the financial model working cross-functionally.
·Acting as interface between internal team members and partner companies, driving the deal process from asset search to deal execution.
·Generating leads, market research, competitor’s data and identifies trends opportunities in existing as well as new markets
·Supporting establishment of Italfarmaco as a business partner of choice, both by leveraging existing network of connections and actively building, growing and maintaining partner relationships and ensuring outreach to new potential customers at partnering events.
Job requirements:
Minimum 6 years of pharma industry experience or BD&L roles, with track record preferentially on licensing across therapeutic areas of interest to Italfarmaco.
A pharmaceutical industry expert, with strong commercial sense, demonstrated leadership in running commercial analysis, negotiations and contracting for license opportunities.
A business qualification (eg MBA) is preferred and, alternatively, a PhD in Life Sciences.
Competence in reviewing and editing contracts and providing direction to Legal in term sheets and contracts.
Demonstrated project management and leadership skills to lead/manage cross-functional teams in preparing partnering opportunities and enabling decision making.
Excellent communication, organizational, and networking skills
Fluent business English, working knowledge of Spanish would be an advantage
